A review of The North Face Flight FUTURELIGHT jacket

Get Out There's Niki Hurst took the new Flight FUTURELIGHT jacket from The North Face for a spin on the trails and logging roads around Squamish, BC. It was pouring rain, so she put it through a good test.

The FUTURELIGHT series is new from The North Face. It's a high-tech new fabric with a membrane that is designed to allow air to pass through for better venting and breathability without sacrificing waterproofness and durability.

And, it seems to have proven effective against the unpredictable Squamish weather and a few hours of running.

It did indeed win over our testing team for its ability to keep the athletes protected from the rain while at the same time making sure to allow air to circulated and release sweat that builds up after a few hours of running. That's basically job number one for any serious running jacket, especially in BC. And in that task, this jacket worked wonders.

It is also very light, easily packed away, and has a softness that is unexpected and quite nice.
