Mountain Equipment Company (MEC) is offering a limited-time Black Friday deal that gives outdoor enthusiasts a chance to buy a $4,000 MEC 407 E-Bike for just $400—under one condition. To qualify, shoppers must spend at least $1,200 on outdoor gear. This promotion is part of MEC’s annual Black Friday event, which features various discounts on outdoor equipment and apparel.
The MEC 407 E-Bike, available for $400 with a $1,200 purchase, is designed for urban cycling and commuting. It comes with a Shimano Steps E5000 drive unit, a lightweight 6061 aluminium frame with a low step-through design, and a 504Wh lithium-ion battery. The bike’s expected range is between 25 to 150 km per charge, depending on conditions. Other features include a Shimano Cues 9-speed drivetrain and an SR Suntour front suspension fork for smoother rides on urban or gravel paths.
This deal is available only in-store at MEC locations across Canada (excluding Hudson’s Bay stores), while supplies last. Since quantities are limited, shoppers are encouraged to arrive early for the best chance to get the bike.
In addition to the e-bike offer, MEC is also offering up to 40% off select tents and up to 50% off snow gear like Fischer Nordic boots and skis. New deals will be released daily throughout the holiday season.
MEC’s Black Friday event is expected to be one of its biggest of the year, so be sure to act fast!
