Lululemon has recently unveiled its latest running shoe, the Beyondfeel, developed in collaboration with 10 female athletes from around the world who participated in the brand’s inaugural Women’s Ultramarathon Further event earlier this month.
The Beyondfeel shoe is crafted to cater to the specific anatomical needs of women’s feet, aiming to redefine the standards of support and comfort in running footwear. Featuring a high-traction cushioned foam sole designed to facilitate a smoother heel-to-toe transition, it incorporates additional foam in the forefoot to accommodate the natural landing pattern of women’s feet. Its seamless fully-mesh upper ensures optimal ventilation and breathability during intense workouts.
Sporting a vibrant “juicy peach” hue with espresso accents and an off-white foam sole, the Beyondfeel shoe is available in both women’s and men’s sizes.
Emphasizing the brand’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and equity in sports, Nikki Neuburger, Lululemon’s chief brand officer, underscores the significance of investing in innovation and resources to empower women to redefine their athletic capabilities.
“Women have historically been overlooked and underserved in athletics, and as a brand committed to helping all people feel their best, we have a responsibility to create more equity for our communities by investing to close this gap,” Lululemon chief brand officer Nikki Neuburger said via a statement, adding, “When supported with innovation and resources, we are confident women will continue to redefine the limits of what’s possible.
In addition to the Beyondfeel running shoe, Lululemon has worked closely with the athletes to design comprehensive run kits tailored to withstand rigorous training regimes. These kits include the Support Code sports bra, featuring a purportedly chafe-free design and strategically integrated storage for essentials like water bottles and nutrition bars. Exclusive cooling apparel and accessories further complement the runners’ gear, underscoring Lululemon’s dedication to providing athletes with top-notch performance attire.
The Beyondfeel shoe was initially announced in February alongside the launch of Cityverse, the brand’s debut men’s shoe. A trail version of the Beyondfeel shoe, catering to both men and women, is slated for release in May.
For those interested in purchasing the Beyondfeel running shoe, it is available for $158 in both men’s and women’s sizes directly from Lululemon.
