Gary Robbins and company start new fundraising initiative for race directors

The team behind Coast Mountain Trail Running has initiated a new fundraising campaign I Support Local Race Directors to benefit not just their own race series but also race directors from the greater trail running community, all of which are suffering under recent COVID-19 cancellations.
The plan is to sell limited edition headwraps emblazoned with the slogan “I support local Race Directors,” for $25.
Participants in the fundraiser can direct the profits to Coast Mountain or any other race organization or race director. The headwraps will be shipped across North America for free.
The campaign is off to a great start, according to an Instagram post by Coast Mountain’s race director Gary Robbins.
“In the first 24 hours of this program, we've sold almost $7,000 worth of head wraps, benefitting over 80 individual race directors/organizations across North America!” he wrote.
“We'll run this program through the end of the month, and then get the fundraised dollars on out to those you've supported. Big thanks to all those who've already stepped up to support their local RDs, from the Yukon to Nova Scotia, from Washington State, to Washington DC, and pretty much everywhere in between.”
