Ultra-Trail Harricana back as part of world tour for 2021
Hopefully, a return to racing is imminent
Looking for an ultra trail running event in 2021? One to consider might be Quebec’s Ultra-Trail Harricana. The popular race has announced that it will once again be Canada’s only stop on the Ultra Trail World Tour.
The UTWT consists of 28 major events organized in 22 countries including such races as the Western State 100-Mile Endurance Run and the UTMB Mont Blanc.
“We are very proud to represent Canada on the Ultra-Trail World Tour,” says Marline Côté, general manager of the event. “The UTWT is a serious, professional circuit that brings together some of the most representative races from each continent, and helps structure the discipline on a global scale. It is also–and above all–a racing circuit that aims to foster collaboration and create synergies to allow the sport to develop its full potential all over the world.”
The Ultra-Trail Harricana was founded in 2011 and will be celebrating its 10th anniversary next year. The race is scheduled for Sept. 10-12 at the Mont Grand-Fonds Ski Resort in La Malbaie, Quebec.
