Power Practical’s PowerPot 5 & Luminoodle (video)

Two options for charging technology that bring roughing it into the modern day

Chris took the Power Practical PowerPot 5 and Luminoodle on a two month family adventure in California to see how they stack up among the growing options for charging technology while camping or traveling. He was impressed with both items, as well as the 4400 Lithium battery that came with them.

Charging devices with energy that is otherwise lost while cooking is an efficient and convenient way to go, and the PowerPot works well both as a cockpit and as a charging station. Chris’ only complaint was that the 1.2 tire pot is too small for feeding the entire family. A larger PowerPot 10 was previously available but is not listed on the website as of July 18, 2016.

More impressive is the Luminoodle. A flexible, waterproof string of lights that stuffs into a provided bag to function as a surprisingly bright lantern, this became a gear essential for future trips.
