Worldwide Bike Tour Crankworx Makes New Brunswick Debut at Sugarloaf Provincial Park

Sugarloaf Provincial Park is set to host the prestigious Crankworx Summer Series as part of the Adrenaline Bike Festival this August, marking a significant milestone for the biking community in New Brunswick.

Announced on April 4, 2024, by Tourism, Heritage and Culture Minister Tammy Scott-Wallace, the inclusion of Sugarloaf Provincial Park in the Crankworx tour lineup heralds an exciting opportunity for local mountain bike enthusiasts to ride alongside professional athletes. Minister Scott-Wallace expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “We are so excited to bring an event of international caliber to Sugarloaf Provincial Park, where local mountain bike enthusiasts will have an opportunity to ride alongside professional athletes.”

Crankworx, renowned as a worldwide tour showcasing a series of mountain bike festivals, attracts top-tier athletes to compete in various disciplines. From races to skills competitions catering to all ages and ability levels, the event promises a thrilling experience for participants and spectators alike.

Scheduled to take place from August 16-18, the festivities will kick off with a vibrant party featuring a Big Air Jump Jam event in downtown Campbellton. Subsequent competitions will unfold within the scenic backdrop of Sugarloaf Provincial Park.

The significance of this event is amplified by the Adrenaline Bike Festival’s 15th-anniversary celebration this year. With the 2023 edition drawing over 7,000 visitors, spectators, and competitors, the festival has firmly established itself as a highlight on the biking calendar.
